About the English Olympiad
Idealized by ChatClass, in partnership with the Regional English Language Office (RELO) from US Embassy, the English Olympiad has the proposal of encouraging English learning in Brazil. The event was developed to students in the elementary school and high school, it is free and offers recognition to teachers and students.
In 2020, the English Olympiad will happen between the 1st and 31st October. The activities and challenges happen on ChatClass Escola, our Artificial Intelligence on WhatsApp.
In 2019, the course counted on the participation of 130.000 students and 5.000 teachers.

Activities done
The 1st edition was a success
Students and teachers from all states in Brazil showed that English is important for schools in the country. The winning teachers participated in a one-week immersion in Salvador and winning students received many prizes. At the end, we launched a report about English Education in Brazil.
